“Success is neither magical nor mysterious.

Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.”

― Jim Rohn

What sets most successful salespeople apart is the consistency in their daily routine. Consistency not only allows top sales performers to establish trust with their prospects/clients, it also enables them to identify good practices and measure their results.

If we take a closer look into the weekly routine of a top sales performer, we will identify consistency in the way they organise the tasks to be accomplished.

Given its Friday, we decided to share 3 things that high performing salespeople do every Friday:

1.- Evaluate your to-do list:

After a long and hectic week, it’s important to set some time aside to review the goals you’ve identified for the week and make sure you have accomplished them. Use this time to tie loose ends and take care of the little details that will make it easier to start a fresh new week from Monday.

2.- Reflect on the week:

High performance salespeople review their week performance at the end of Friday and reflect on their best achievements or successes. This small step will make you leave the office with a sense of accomplishment and will also allow you to identify good practices that you could reapply in the upcoming weeks. Some psychologists even recommend jotting down at least 3 accomplishments in order to boost long-term happiness levels.

3.- Plan ahead:

Last but not least, top sales performers use their Friday to plan for the week ahead. This step is very important as it will help you to start Monday morning with a positive and targeted approach. Define the tasks that you must accomplish and have a plan of how you will organise your time to manage your priorities. Even though we are pretty sure that the list will grow bigger as the days go by, it won’t hurt you to have a preliminary list at the start of the week.
