Nielsen

CPM Ireland provide Market Research services to Nielsen

The challenge

Nielsen has been working with CPM Ireland since 2015. For this project, CPM was responsible for surveying all independent grocers & newsagents as well as pubs, nightclubs, hotels, sports & social clubs in certain electoral districts in a given time frame.

Our Solution

CPM recruited 18 experienced survey agents and 2 team leaders and provided them with tablets. Our client delivered the training along with the assistance of the account manger. Our team leaders conducted back checks on the work done by the field to ensure all data was captured correctly.

CPM has introduced advanced technology to:

  • Geo-locate/geo-map outlets across the Island of Ireland.
  • Integrate territories into Google maps so survey agent could go right down to street view within their given territory.
  • Use validations and routing on surveys to ensure accurate data received.

Results

    All surveys were delivered in the given time frame. All post survey queries were dealt with in a timely manner. Client was very satisfied with the service received and enhancements made to the project.

The challenge

Our Solution

CPM provides a range of services to support CHEP with locating, auditing and recovering their assets. Field research agents ensure the location behaviour adheres to CHEP policy with the aim of improving flow in the CHEP distribution and return model.

CPM was tasked to audit 25 stores displaying Bosch products in the food prep, floor care and garment care categories over a period of 3 months to capture data that would assist in measuring ROI on POS development and installation.

  • In-store auditing activities during each visit: Point of Sale display audit and issue rectification / escalation to client for display units and merchandising
  • Rectify all low level merchandising / display issues in-store and escalate all others to client

Results

  • Built relationships with store managers and promoters to ensure brand visibility and increase sales volume.
  • Using a standardized scoring system that is aligned with Singapore, Bosch is able to create a benchmark for POSM excellence in the region and continuously improve consistency across all retail outlets.

CPM's Mystery Shopping team shopped 100 promoters in-store to evaluate the overall performance before the peak holiday shopping season in Thailand to identify and correct any performance gaps.

  • The Mystery Shopping team developed a comprehensive mystery shopping questionnaire that focused on key areas: personality and attitude, product knowledge, selling skills and merchandising capabilities
  • Each promoter was visited and scored with specific inputs on their strengths and weaknesses

Results

  • Using a standardised scoring system that is aligned with Singapore, Bosch is able to create a benchmark for best promoter and identify training requirements for the field sales team
  • Providing refresher training and skills before the high season resulted in a more energised team of field sales promoters
